This will be a rather harsh review of the 24mm Bristol from Vielong. Granted, it's only $16 at the time of this review. I realize I shouldn't expect a Cadillac for that price, but I was still rather disappointed. It's basically a short plastic brush. No frills, nothing fancy. The finish on the handle is a bit scuffed up, not polished like its 26mm brethren. Also, I found seams that run up and down the side, signifying this is two pieces of plastic slapped together. Plus, the handle is really short, like less than two inches long. Sigh...I guess I'm just spoiled by lathe turned brushes. If there's a bright side, it's that this brush could make for a good travel brush given its small form factor. Also, the synthetic knot is essentially the same as the far better 26mm brushes (e.g. Tulip, Seven). It's soft with decent backbone and makes a decent lather. Two stars might be a bit harsh, but I guess you get what you pay for.
